After a few words of welcome by Pasquale D’Avino, the Italian ambassador in Prague, and Mathieu Rouri, General Manager of the Diplomat Hotel, the more than 80 Italian exhibitors were ready to give visitors a foretaste of what the fair had to offer.

Trade fair-combination for tourism in Central America, MITM Americas and Cultourfair: In the Mexican Guadadalajara the 19th MITM Americas and the 5th Cultourfair were officially opened on October 2, 2013. Exhibitors and visitors from 39 countries meet in the largest ground-level conference center in Central America to generate more than 2,800 business appointments in two days. During the show revenues of more than $57 million are expected in the long term according to the organizers.

International visitor arrivals into Asia and the Pacific grew by six percent in June 2013, the latest month for which comprehensive pan-regional results are available. The figures for June are among the strongest year-on-year growth performances so far this year. Southeast Asia set the pace once again with a solid double-digit gain, but all sub-regions reported good percentage growth performances for the month.
