Berlin’s tourism organization announces a change at the top. After many successful years (17 years) under the leadership of Burkhard Kieker, VisitBerlin is entering a new chapter. The supervisory board has appointed Dr. Jürgen Amann as the new Managing Director, effective immediately.Under Kieker’s tenure, VisitBerlin positioned the German capital as one of Europe’s most dynamic destinations, combining innovative marketing with sustainable tourism strategies. The new leadership aims to continue this path while focusing on digital transformation and international partnerships.

“Berlin remains a city of creativity and openness,” said the new CEO. “We will strengthen its global visibility and ensure tourism benefits residents and visitors alike.”

VisitBerlin will present its updated strategy at the upcoming ITB Berlin, outlining future priorities for urban tourism and destination management.
