Yesterday, international artists celebrated the premiere of DUMMY. The concept by Markus Pabst and Eike von Stuckenbrok sets a trend in the German show industry. DUMMY is performing at the Chamäleon Theater in Berlin until July 21, 2013. The show and the Theatre are the ideal Location for every MICE-Event in Berlin.
Curtains up for DUMMY, Varieté 2.0: On Thursday evening DUMMY celebrated its premiere at the Berlin Chamäleon Theater. The act opened to a full house, where performers brought mannequins to life and engaged guests of the art, culture and entertainment industry.

Show Concept Sets New Trend
Man meets doll, electronic sounds from the Berlin musician Reecode meets the sound from a cello: The
internationally renowned visionary stage director Markus Pabst and debutant director Eike von Stuckenbrok
have developed a show that thrives on contrasts. In addition to elements of classical circus, they make use
of interactive video projections and a stage construction that can tilt 45 degrees, which creates a new
generation of Varieté. Stuckenbrok, as a talented youngster within the acrobatics scene, performs breakneck
acrobatics during the show on poles and with the dummies.
“One goal of the Chamäleon Theatre is to always surprise our audience with new and unusual forms of
expression,” said Hendrik Frobel, CEO of Chameleon Theatre Inc. “With the breathtaking performances of
our artists, the unique stage design and the specially composed soundtrack, DUMMY exceeds the
boundaries of a classical musical theater and becomes an innovative, cross-media theatrical experience – as
it were Varieté 2.0,” Frobel added.
A Show without Words
DUMMY and its young artists create an interaction between lifeless mannequins and humans by using the
dummies as acrobatic elements on stage. The non-verbal show is appropriate for an international audience.
The show for Berlin residents and visitors can be seen until July 21, 2013 from Tuesday to Sunday at the
Chamäleon Theater at the Hackesche Höfe.

About the Chamäleon Theater

The Chamäleon Theatre is located in the Hackesche Höfe in the heart of Berlin. Cultural idealists moved in shortly after the wall came down and later the Chamäleon Theater GmbH took over the business in 2004. The artistic free spirit of prior years was maintained, but the special spirit was professionalized and simultaneously directed into the modern era.
With its unique blend of dance, singing, acrobatics and drama in Germany, the Chamäleon provides local and
international guests with modern entertainment and no language barrier. High-caliber artists from all over the world, as well as internationally renowned directors take part in making the Chamäleon Theater a leader within the German Varieté scene. The ambience of the lavishly restored ballroom from the Art Nouveau period is also popular as a backdrop for events. Together with the Admiral Palace, the Friedrichstadt-Palast, the Kabarett-Theater Distel, the Jewish Theatre and the Quatsch Comedy Club, the Chamäleon Theater creates the “East End – Theater District”.
