The andel’s Hotel Łódź has won the “Hotel of the Year 2012″ vote in the category of “Design”. The competition, organised by the website hrs.pl together with Newsweek and Forbes magazines, awards the best Polish hotels based on a vote by travellers and hotel guests.

The results of this year’s edition of the hrs.pl “Hotel of the Year 2012″ vote were announced during a gala held on 28 March 2012 at 99 Restaurant & Bar in Warsaw. The andel’s Hotel Łódź was awarded the title of “Hotel of the Year 2012″ in the “Design” category. The Vienna International hotel received the greatest number of votes among the properties that are distinguished by a unique design and attention to their artistic character and which were created by renowned designers, architects and artists.
“The award in the hrs.pl contest has a special importance for us. We are honoured by our guests, who require something more from a hotel than just an accommodation. We are delighted that our original design corresponds to the aesthetic sensibilities of so many people and is appreciated not only by the experts,” said Katarzyna Szymańska, Resident Manager of the andel’s Hotel Łódź, when picking up the statuette.

The award jury consisted of guests and travellers who, based on their personal experience, chose the best hotels in Poland in nine categories: Premiere, Business, Design, Spa, Best Service, Economy, Luxury, Resort Hotel and Palaces & Castles. Among the finalists in the category of “Business” was another Polish Vienna International hotel – the angelo Hotel Katowice. It is also the first-choice property for business travellers, according to a ranking by the hotel.info website.
