Google published before and after images of the tsunami affected area in Japan as part of the Google Street View program.
For the project “Memories for the Future” they drove 44,000 kilometers to take their 360° photos and to show the dimension of the damage.
They aim to build an archive for scientists to research about the catastrophe and to create more awareness for the people around the world in this issue.
Google created a website under www.miraikioku.com/streetview/en/.
