To promote greater awareness, attracting more buyers, trade visitors and exhibitors from Japan, ITE & MICE exhibited this year in “IME2011 – The 21st International Meeting Expo” held in Tokyo.
Besides meeting visitors at the stand where leaflets of ITE & MICE in Japanese were distributed, a presentation on Hong Kong Outbound and ITE & MICE was also being held at the fair ground in the first day of IME.
Overall, responses were encouraging with over 100 contacts being made in IME.
IME is organized by Japan Tourism Agency (JTA), Japan Convention & Conference Bureau (JCCB), and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). The last edition drew in 3021 visitors in two days.

In 2011, ITE & MICE made a total of three presentations in Japan, respectively in two of her prefectures and in Tokyo at IME.
Japan has been increasing its presence in ITE & MICE in recent years, and the official Japan pavilion under the auspices of JTA and JNTO ranks among the top three largest. In anticipation of the good responses, some 25% more space has been reserved for the Japan Pavilion in ITE & MICE 2012.

ITE & MICE2012, which is a co-location of the 26th International Travel Expo Hong Kong (ITE) and the 7th MICE Travel Expo (ITE MICE), will be held from June 14 to 17 at halls 1A to 1E in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center.
Organized by TKS Exhibition Services Ltd, ITE & MICE is supported by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong (TIC), Macau Government Tourists Office (MGTO), and event industry associations in Hong Kong and Macau.
