The Fuerteventura Tourist Office has conferred an award on airberlin for special services to tourism on the island. Pablo Caspers, Deputy Director airberlin for Spain & Portugal, accepted the award in the category “Playas de Plata” at a gala event attended by more than 200 invited guests drawn from politics and tourism.

This winter alone airberlin again increased its services and is now operating up to 72 flights a week to Fuerteventura. airberlin flights to Fuerteventura and the other Canary Islands in summer 2012 are already available for booking.
The “Premios Distinguidos del Turismo de Fuerteventura” were launched eight years ago by the Fuerteventura Tourist Office and have been awarded annually ever since to companies and notable individuals who have rendered outstanding services to tourism on the island.
