Thailand voted most popular travel destination for the seventh time in succession
The 7th Go Asia Awards, taking place alongside ITB 2010 and honoring the best of the best on the Asian Continent and its Arabian subregions, proved a big success for everyone involved. Thailand was voted the most popular Asian travel destination for the seventh year running, followed by Malaysia and the city state of Singapore. Spearheading Arabia was Dubai, followed by Abu Dhabi and Oman.

More than 2,658 Asia enthusiasts from all over Germany, along with the tourism professionals attending the trade show, honored the most popular travel destinations and the best airlines, tour operators and hotels. The “Best Tourist Board” category was voted on by trade visitors exclusively, a first this year. These were the results:

The Go Asia initiative unites tourist boards, hotels and airlines from Asia, as well as tour operators with exciting Asia programs. The association was founded in 2003 as a means for better marketing in the German-speaking region through joint marketing campaigns such as the Go Asia homepage, media relations, and advanced training, as well as the biannual publication of Go Asia Magazine and the Go Asia Awards at ITB Berlin.
