New partners Lufthansa, NH Hoteles and Veranstaltungsplaner.de – expanded exhibition program; new stage featuring free trade presentations
“Business Travel Show”, Germany’s leading trade fair for business travel, will be taking place from September 30 to October 1, 2009, employing an optimized concept. Exhibition Organizer Centaur Exhibitions has now increased the show’s budget in order to expand its target audience and thus its reach.
Funds will in part be allocated to an extended visitors and companies campaign to identify and individually address industry segments that remain reliant on conducting business travel despite the present economic situation. The trade fair was able to establish partnerships with renowned companies, while cooperation with business travel association VDR and the VDR Academy is being intensified, and the seminars and trainings program was expanded with up-to-date topics and high-profile speakers. Also, additional training units will be sponsored and offered free of charge on the “Centre Stage”, a new addition to the fair grounds.
Being the show’s official air travel partner, Germany’s national air carrier Lufthansa will be participating in the Business Travel Show for the first time. Lufthansa offers international visitors special flight rates, bookable via the reservations hotline at 01803 – 803 803 in combination with the code LH9DUS22. Another new partner is hotel group NH Hoteles, which offers visitors of the trade fair 20 percent rebates at three hotels in Düsseldorf. Regarding the conference segment, the Business Travel Show will be cooperating with the “Vereinigung Deutscher Veranstaltungsorganisatoren e.V.” (Association of German Event Organizers) for the first time in order to put a stronger emphasis on event planning in response to visitor demand. Faithful long-time partners from the past years will be returning in 2009, as well, including hotel booking platform Hotel.de, business travel operator FCM Travel Solutions, limousine service provider Globalmobility, Düsseldorf International Airport and German railway company Deutsche Bahn, which will again offer special deals for visitors of the trade fair. Nation-wide first class round-trips to Düsseldorf will be available for 79 euros during the travel period from September 28 to October 3, 2009. The ticket specials may be booked at 01805 – 31 11 53 with a reference to the Business Travel Show.
Expanded exhibition program and new stage featuring free trade presentations
The sixth Business Travel Show will now feature three separate training areas, offering individual programs for the participants’ diverse needs, from assistants and secretaries to purchasing agents of multi-national corporations. In addition to the paid seminar program offered by the VDR Academy, high-profile speakers will comment on and provide solutions to the present economic situation in the business travel sector. This series of speeches will be moderated by Hans-Jürgen Klesse, editor of magazine “Wirtschaftswoche” and winner of the Travel Industry Club Media Award. These added, free speeches are an attempt by the organizers of the trade fair to accommodate the trade visitors in today’s difficult economic conditions and to make sure that these practical expert presentations remain accessible to all visitors of the trade fair despite tight budgets. A new partner and sponsor of the expanded training program was found in Atlatos, who will be offering live training for a cost-saving travel management system and, as a special exhibition incentive, will be giving away free one-year registrations for the system to 600 travel buyers, amounting to 950 euros, each.
