As the award-winning designer hotel collections’ first property in Southeast Asia, and first outside of Australia or New Zealand, QT Singapore will see the iconic Eastern Extension Telegraph building built in 1927, transformed into the Group’s newest hub of playful luxury. Renowned for distinctive design, immersive experiences, and exceptional ‘unexpected and unrequested’ signature service, the arrival of QT Singapore marks a new era of hospitality in the local hotel scene.

Located next to the iconic Lau Pa Sat hawker centre, one of Singapore’s landmark attractions and in the heart of the financial district, the hotel will offer effortless convenience for corporate and leisure guests. Delivering QT’s bold and creatively charged hospitality to the global gateway destination, QT Singapore will feature luxurious guestrooms and suites, gym and a rooftop pool for guests whilst boasting design-led public spaces, including a signature bar and grill and rooftop bar ‘Rooftop at QT,’ as well as bespoke private dining for intimate celebrations and formal business meetings.

Expected to bring a fresh vibrancy and new standard of excellence, the hotel promises an escape that reflects its locale with an eclectic blend of art, design, and innovation, evolving as part of the city-state’s cultural fabric. Whilst the finer design details are still under wraps, QT Singapore will be designed in partnership with interior designer Nic Graham, bringing a new era of luxury to every area of in the hotel, whilst the distinguished façade of the iconic building will remain, paying homage to its heritage.

With 20 years’ experience in hospitality and numerous senior management positions across the Group, Whaite brings extensive venue opening and hotel transformation experience. Whaite has had an award-winning career with QT, having successfully developed QT Perth’s Rooftop Bar and the acclaimed Santini Bar & Grill before several years growing the dynamic personality of QT Sydney. Whaite has spent the past 3.5 years launching and accelerating QT Auckland, where he was recognised for his leadership and, commercial acumen and operational expertise.
