The Italian Bike Festival (IBF) recently concluded its seventh edition in Misano Adriatico, Italy, marking a significant success with over 57,000 visitors. The event, which celebrates the world of cycling and slow mobility, saw a 7.5% increase in attendance compared to the previous year, reinforcing its growing importance on the European stage.
Held at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli,” the festival hosted more than 600 brands from the cycling industry. Visitors were treated to a variety of product previews, opportunities to test new bikes, and a packed schedule of races and entertainment activities suitable for both cycling enthusiasts and families. The festival also featured several meet-and-greet sessions with notable figures from the cycling world, alongside conferences and 17 in-depth talks focused on slow cycling, urban mobility, and cycling tourism. The Tourism Talk Arena provided a platform for discussions on the role of cycling in promoting tourism and sustainable travel.
Organized by Movestro, with support from APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna and Visit Romagna, IBF has rapidly established itself as a key event for both industry professionals and cycling fans. Its emphasis on showcasing innovations and promoting slow cycling aligns with broader trends in sustainable tourism. The organizers noted that the festival had a positive economic and promotional impact on the Emilia-Romagna region, drawing cyclists and cycling tourists of all ages to participate in events such as the popular La Gialla Cycling race.
La Gialla Cycling, now in its third year, introduced a new format in 2024, emphasizing the philosophy of “slow cycling.” Participants were able to explore the region’s cultural and gastronomic highlights, with routes designed to cater to different skill levels, including competitive segments like the Montefiore Conca climb. A new addition to the program, La Gialla Family, offered a non-competitive ride suitable for all ages and abilities, further broadening the event’s appeal.
Looking ahead, the IBF is already preparing for its next edition in September 2025, once again inviting cyclists and industry stakeholders to gather at the Misano World Circuit for another celebration of cycling culture. The Italian Bike Festival continues to grow as a vital platform for the cycling industry, promoting innovation, networking, and sustainable travel, while also offering an engaging experience for all who attend.
