The country is known for its rich biodiversity which of course attracts a lot of travellers and counted 5,9 million visitors in 2016. Most of the visitors are coming from South Korea (1,4 mio in 2016) but also the number of travellers from the USA and China is increasing.Currently 39 new hotels are in the pipeline. Meliá Hotels International recently announced that it has signed agreements to add several new hotels with local partners in the increasingly friendly Asia Pacific region, bringing the company’s total number of properties in that part of the world up to 45. It has been somewhat of a fast rise for Meliá Hotels International in the Asia Pacific region, as the company has added more than 30 hotels in that area within the past five years, a fivefold increase for its portfolio there.

Turkish Airlines has announced its 2017 November passenger and cargo traffic results. The global carrier reached the highest Load Factor in November with 79.5% LF.The Evaluation of November 2017 Traffic Results; Total Load Factor improved significantly by 5.4 points to 79.5% with an increase of 9% in available seat kilometre, while international LF increased by 5.6 points to 78.6% ( November 2015 LF: 74.3%)

Following on from the successful launch of direct flights between Berlin-Tegel and Tel Aviv, Germania has made additional flights on this route available for booking. The airline with the green and white aircraft will continue to operate three flights a week – on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays – between the German capital and the Israeli coastal metropolis at the end of the winter schedule.
