From 13 – 15 February 2015, the Estonian Travel and Tourism Association will organize the 24th travel trade fair Tourest in Tallinn, Estonia.The International travel trade fair Tourest is the oldest and the biggest travel trade fair in the Baltic States. In 2014, nearly 500 exhibitors from 24 countries presented their services and information in 3 halls to more than 35.000 visitors.

The participating exhibitors represented an overview of international destinations as well as the national incoming and outgoing travel agencies and representatives of the Estonian touristic structure such as hotels, transport companies, etc. Kristen Lahtein, the Secretary General of the Estonian Travel and Tourism Association emphasized that Estonia is a highly interesting destination for international tourism companies!
Tallinn is one of the busiest destinations on the Baltic Sea. Cruise ships arrive nearly on a daily basis bringing into the town nearly 1 million of tourist per year. Besides that there is an intense movement of travelers from the other Baltic States and Finland.
STATISTICALLY, ALMOST EVERY INHABITANT TRAVELLED ABROAD 3 TIMES IN 2013!
Following the statistical services of the Bank of Estonia, in 2013 a total of 6.057.031 people visited Estonia, coming 4.427.306 from EU-countries (being Finland the no. 1). On the other side a total of 3.706.295 times Estonians travelled abroad, going 2.618.809 times to EU-countries (being Finland, Latvia and Sweden the numbers 1 – 3). This shows up the importance of Estonia for the travel industry.
