The 11th International Conference „Fuels of the Future“, commencing today in Berlin, is for the first time addressing alternative aviation fuels. With more than 500 participants the leading event of the German biofuel industry is the showcase for feedstock developments, innovative technology and new markets.
aireg supports the conference with a forum “Sustainable biomass supply for the production of biokerosene”. Domestic feedstock options like algae and biomethane will be at the center of the discussion. In addition, the international progress on establishing local value chains will be a focus of the forum, taking place on Tuesday, Jan. 21st, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. to 01:30 p.m. at ICC Berlin.

Companies and organisations from industry, research and science have founded aireg – Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e.V. in 2011. aireg is promoting the development and applicability of regenerative liquid fuels in order to help achieve the ambitious CO2 reduction targets of the aviation sector. By 2025, 10% of the German jet fuel demand shall be replaced by sustainable, alternative viation fuels.
