Trip.com Group is acquiring a majority stake in e-hoi, the Frankfurt-based cruise specialist. The deal makes e-hoi part of one of the world’s largest online travel companies. For e-hoi founder and CEO Detlev Schäferjohann, the change in ownership does not mean a change of role. He will remain with the company and continue to be involved in its strategic development. The existing management team will also remain in place.

e-hoi has been specializing in ocean and river cruises for many years. The company has also expanded its international activities in recent years and operates several brands across a number of European markets. With Trip.com Group becoming its new majority shareholder, e-hoi is entering a new phase of its development. Schäferjohann, however, will remain at the helm of the company.
