China Rendez-Vous announces China’s first Classic Car Concours on The Bund.
From the creators of the acclaimed Hainan Rendez-Vous, China Rendez-Vous announce the launch of a new event: The Bund Classic”. The three-day event will be China’s inaugural Concours d’Elegance, to be held at the iconicVilla at Bund 33 from October 18 to October 20, 2013.China’s first international classic car event is already attracting the attention of car collectors and automobile aficionados from across China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Four years after founding Hainan Rendez-Vous, the China Rendez-Vous team is using its expertise to create an internationally acclaimed event in China, this time in the booming city of Shanghai. China Rendez-Vous’ unparalleled experience and resources are in full swing to ensure the success and originality of this event.

The Chinese market has a longstanding love affair with automobiles. Every year, for the last decade, the demand for luxury cars has grown by a staggering 36%. A recently published McKinsey report calculates that China is now the world’s second-largest market for “premium” cars, and it is estimated that it will become the world’s largest consumer market by 2020. The team has been quick to attract top international expert including world renowned authority Iain Tyrrell who will be a key partner of the show, bringing the full resources of his newly founded China Classic Car company to provide technical support, mechanical checkups and financial audits of the exhibiting collector’s cars.
