The 16th edition of MITM Euromed, Meetings and Incentive Travel Market, to be held alongside with the 4th edition of CULTOURFAIR, International Cultural Travel Fair, October 3rd to 5th in Granada, Spain, has an excellent networking program for the attendees.
The program begins with a welcome cocktail offered as a NOVELTY and exclusively to all the participants at the Gardens of the Generalife, followed by a visit through the beautiful walled city of The Alhambra, the most visited monument in Spain.

Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, an experienced airline industry executive, will join the management team as Chief Strategy and Network Planning Officer (CSPO). Formerly Chief Executive at bmi, Mr Prock-Schauer, also held the position of CEO at jet Airways in India and senior executive positions with Austrian Airlines. Mr Prock-Schauer, 55, will be responsible for network planning, alliances and revenue management when he joins airberlin on October 1.

Minister for Tourism and Major Events, George Souris, today announced that Sydney will host the World Youth Student Travel Conference (WYSTC) in 2013. The conference, secured by the city’s convention bureau, Business Events Sydney (BESydney) and the local organising committee, will generate $5.4 million in economic impact for the State and attract more than 800 delegates from 80 countries who offer products or services to teenagers or travellers in their teens, 20s and early 30s.

Dusit International has announced the appointment of 43 year-old Silvano Trombetta as its new Corporate Director of Rooms, effective from 17 September 2012.
A Thai national of Italian and Thai parentage, Mr Silvano brings more than twenty years of solid management experience to his new position that sees him assuming responsibility for Dusit International rooms operations globally.
Mr Silvano’s career includes six years as Front Office Manager at the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok and from 2002-2004, in a similar position at the Conrad Hotel Bangkok, where in 2004, he was promoted to Director of Rooms.
Raised and educated in Bangkok, Mr Silvano is fluent in Thai and English and speaks conversational Italian. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Assumption University of Thailand. Mr Silvano is married with two children.

According to media news from Ho Chi Minh City, Myanmar and three other Southeast Asian countries situated along the Mekong River reached an agreement last week to co-operate on boosting tourism in the region. To reach a target of 25 million international visitors from 2013 to 2015, the four countries are also considering implementing a single CLMV (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam) visa. The proposed visa could later include Thailand, which is currently working of issuing a shared tourist visa with Cambodia.
