According to media news from Ho Chi Minh City, Myanmar and three other Southeast Asian countries situated along the Mekong River reached an agreement last week to co-operate on boosting tourism in the region. To reach a target of 25 million international visitors from 2013 to 2015, the four countries are also considering implementing a single CLMV (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam) visa. The proposed visa could later include Thailand, which is currently working of issuing a shared tourist visa with Cambodia.
