After a long break the Formel 1 has started today ( Sunday) again in the new Raceyear. The first Race in Melbourne, Australien was very exciting. Next week the Formel 1 Circus makes a stop in Sepang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and after this the whole F 1 is moving on to Shanghai. On the next Sundays the whole Circus is stopping at 20 Station ( which means Cities and countries).
In the meantime the Formel 1 become a Top Marketingtool over the last years. On every Raceweekend more than 20.000 Visitors ( according to Insider´s) are coming to the races via private planes, charterflights and public airlines. Besides the travelling costs they spend a lot of money at hotels, Restaurants, and via the Serviceprovider – and also in the shops. Many Touroperators and special Sporttouroperators from around the world organizing trips around the Formel 1 Weekend.
But also the men and women which are working for the Formel 1 and the Teams are Businesstourists and worldwide they must travel to the races . Insider are speaking about more than 2.100 people each raceweekend.

A not to be underestimated value of such motor spectacle of a country is also the tourism advertising. The world – usually broadcast live- race reports show not only the race car driving in circles, the camera also shows reports on the country and its people and promotes tourism.
. That is one reason why many countries are paying lot of money to Bernie Ecclestone, the guru of Formula 1, so they can have a race. Currently, Thailand and Argentina compete for a race in 2013. But not just “Bernie” must be paid, the local companies want to use the F 1 hype and participate as a sponsor for each team.

Our pictures show the example of the Mercedes-Petronas team with Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg, whose sponsor is a native of Malaysia’s Petronas oil company, beside others.
But the F1 support also the countries, so the FIA President Jean Todt is honorary ambassador of the country of Malaysia.
