Thailand Franchise & Business Opportunities 2011 aims to drive franchise-licensing business, enhancing Thailand’s SMEs industry after flooding crisis
Due to recent flood situation in Thailand, there has been a widespread impact on the economy of SME businesses in the country. With the aim to help restore the slowdown of SME sector during the flooding crisis, Thailand Franchise & Business Opportunities 2011 (7th edition), the BEST and LARGEST franchise, licensing and business opportunities show in ASEAN. Incorporated with the 5th edition of Thailand Retail, Food & Hospitality Services 2011, an international show on food equipment and supply for hotels, restaurants, bakery, coffee shops, supermarkets, catering services and retail, complementing each other, the “Two – in – One” show is organized on a combined 10,000 sqm. The event will be held between 26 – 29 January 2012 at BITEC Bangna and should be one of several activities that will help recover the SME sector and drive franchise licensing businesses while helping to boost the country’s trade shows industry after the flooding.
Businesses highlight of TFBO 2011 will be more than 15 franchise categories such as food, coffee shops, beverage, spa and beauty, retail, education, IT and digital, service and print etc which come together with 110 brands from overseas including Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, and USA, Canada, China and Malaysia. In addition to this, the exhibitors will also provide special promotions and campaigns to launch this event, and there will be special loan interest from five leading banks to support SME entrepreneurs.
Thailand Franchise & Business Opportunities and Thailand Retail, Food & Hospitality Services is organized by Kavin Intertrade Co., Ltd – well-known Thai organizer. This event is also Thailand’s first and only franchise show receiving TCEB Approved Event Award from Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization).

Kavin Kittiboonya, Managing Director of Kavin Intertrade Co.,Ltd said “TFBO and TRAFS 2011 is expected to draw 25,000 participants to attend the show which will gain 25% growth rate in term of numbers of visitors compared to last year. Among the number of visitors, there will be 23,500 local participants and 1,500 international visitors from 45 countries. We have also spent 7 million baht in marketing and promotional activities as well as media exposure for this show. The expected trade volume from TFBO & TRAFS 2011 is 120 million baht compare to last year at 100 million baht. Moreover, we forecasted that unemployment rate will increase as people are affected by the flood crisis, so the TFBO 2011 will be a fruitful business opportunity platform to pursue entrepreneurship.”

The Next Best Shows is one of the projects under TCEB’s 5-years strategic plan to develop and grow the country’s MICE industry, aiming to retain existing international trade shows held in Thailand as well as to encourage a competitive environment and further development in Thailand’s exhibition industry at the regional level. The Next Best Show is a 3-years project period, beginning in August 2011 and running until September 2014.
