The fifth edition of the Polish outgoing tourism workshop, Polish Travel Mart 2011, has ended in Warsaw. The event, after five editions, is now in pole position among the appointments not to miss if a tourist company wants to invest on the East Europe and specifically on the “Polish Tiger”. Actually the Polish market shows a growing trend with astonishing peaks, especially if compared to the difficult path of many other countries and regions in the world.
The PTM 2011 success is again a confirmation of the international importance achieved by this event among the Polish tourism appointments. The participation data of the Polish travel trade are very significant: the buyers registered at the event have been 123 companies with 179 participants. The Polish operators trust toward Polish Travel Mart and the organizer (TTG Poland) has so much grown that the “no show” percentage of the buyers this year has been very low, only the 7%.
In a long term view, it’s important to point out that for the third consecutive year more then 120 buyers have attended the event and the no show has been under the 10%. This shows not only that the workshop has conquered and gained the trust of the Polish To and Ta but it’s also a sign of how much the market is willing to grow, expand, make new business and look for new original and inedited holiday ideas for the Polish clients.
The other novelty of the PTM 2011 edition is the massive participation of top level Polish buyers: TUI, Triada, Itaka, Holiday Travel, Mazurkas Travel and others were present at the event all time long. This year, close to the traditional tables of the workshop, there were booths for all the companies interested to meet the Polish counterparts outside the schedule established by the meeting agenda.
These new facilities have attracted particularly prestigious sellers: National Tourist Boards like Singapore and New Zeeland and important air companies such as Alitalia, Lufthansa, Singapore Airline e Tam. The number of the sellers is aligned with the ones of the previous editions: about 50 participant companies, 67 persons coming from 28 countries all over the world, from New Zeeland to Germany.
Polish Travel Mart is a full managed workshop where the meetings are planned using a meeting agenda that establishes for each buyer and seller the list and the timing of the meetings. The organizer staff provides also a full time assistance in real time in order to reply to the exigencies of all the participants. For one and half day, 12 real workshop hours, the venue was crowded of people and during this time there have been 1380 business meetings managed by TTG Poland management workshop system.
Furthermore the interesting datum is that the constant upgrading of the matching system offers to the workshop participants a more sophisticated range of choices. This year about the 30% of the meetings were the result of operators direct requests and the rest the outcome of similarities between the demand of the buyers and the offer of the sellers indentified by the system.
