At US$16 billion, Hong Kong was Asia’s third largest source market by international tourism expenditure in 2009, after China (mainland) and Japan. In general, Hong Kong’s outbound is dominated by FIT travelers and Hong Kong passport holders can visit over 140 countries and regions in the world, including EU and Japan, visa free.
