Furama Hotels International (FHI) has signed a new 4-star 17-storey hotel in Chiang Mai and will rebrand it to the award winning Furama trade name. Furama Chiang Mai will be officially opend in this month, offering 295 dedicated spacious guestrooms with panoramic Doi Suthep´s mountain views. As part of the 2010 plan for this Singapore-based hotel management company, Chiang Mai will be the next potential destination as FHI expands extensively in Thailand.

 

In a city with cultural significance, the glorious mountainous views and the historical French influence sets the hotel at an advantage, with its grand interior and contemporary Thai style.

All of the 295 rooms are equipped with bathtub and exclusive amenities fit for business travelers as well as leisure guests. The Xanadu Pub and Restaurant, an open-air roof top restaurant with panoramic views of the city, will provide live entertainment as well as serving guests the various local and international cuisine.
The grill Room will serve a taste of authentic French cuisine and an extensive winelist. Pool Side@Garden and pool bar is located at level 5 where the guest can treat themselves to a chilled out evening session .

Jason Peck, Chief Executive Officer of FHI said that Furama Chiang Mai´s rebranding will be a platform for FHI in Chiang Mai. “As the up and coming next potential market, Chiang Mai gives us a good opportunity of tapping into the hospitality industry in the north of Thailand”, he said at the signing ceremony. The in the hotelindustry not only in Thailand wellknown Mr. Chen Dhipvarodom, will be the first Furama Chiang Mai General Manager.
