March 10 will see the launch of ITB-TV, to be shown at ITB Cinema and worldwide on the Internet. The international tourism film and media competition “The Golden City Gate” will have its 9th installment this year at ITB Berlin, hall 4.1, and is considered among the industry as the Oscars of the tourism industry.

Thailand fielded the largest exhibitor contingent at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2010 (ATF) held in Brunei Darussalam.

The total number of 108 exhibitor booths as listed in the delegate directory was well ahead of the second largest country contingent, Malaysia, which had 63 exhibitor booths. They included 90 hotels and resorts, 10 tour operators, and other related tourism businesses. The 28th ATF was attended by a record number of delegates, including 370 buyers from 52 countries and 383 sellers from the 10 ASEAN countries.

The East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibtion (EMITT) salient to global tourism, opens its gate for the 14th time to host tourism professionals from all over the world. The EMITT 2010 Show has been officially opened by Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ertugrul Günay, and his colleague Zoheir Garranah, Minister of Tourism for the “Guest Country” Egypt.
