Cultural diversity coupled with a good price-performance ratio – those are the characteristics that the German capital of Berlin attracts international convention and meeting planners with in times of crisis. This was the conclusion of Meeting Place Berlin, held from July 2 to 6 at the Museum of Technology. Some 150 attendees, including visitors from the USA, Russia and Italy, used the international workshop to get to know the convention destination of Berlin.

Guest reviews on the Internet showing effect: An increasing number of hoteliers are paying more attention to guest reviews on the Internet, eliminating shortcomings accordingly. “Looking through the reviews, one will notice how the reviews of hotels which used to be evaluated badly are suddenly improving”, said Ulrich Cramer of holidaycheck.de, Bottighofen/Schweiz, in an interview with trade magazine Top hotel. Exact figures on how many hoteliers are intensively working on their reviews could not be provided, however.
