Bernd Mäser, chairman and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Grand City Hotels & Resorts, will leave the Berlin-based hotel management company by the end of September 2009.

He had been appointed to the management of the ambitious company shortly after its establishment and is largely responsible for the company’s structural development into one of the largest companies in the German industry.

Bernd Mäser leaves the company on his own accord in order to face new professional challenges in the fields of financial accounting, financing and development in a Cologne-based hotel company. The position of chairman of Grand City Hotels GmbH will be assumed by Eyal Ben David.
