The Radisson Hotel Pudong Century Park, as a renowned contemporary art design hotel, takes great pleasure to sponsor one of its enthralling art collections “Victory Elephant” in the exhibition “Salvador Dalí in Shanghai” which opens for 2 weeks from August 1 to 14, 2009 at the Shanghai Art Museum.

“Victory Elephant”, the hotel’s newest collection which was created by the world class artist Salvador Dalí, was previously displayed at the poolside of the hotel. It offered a rare and unique occasion to the hotel guests for a surreal millennial experience beyond their wildest dreams. This bronze sculpture will be returned back by the Curator of the exhibition as soon as this century event is closed.

As an artist, Salvador Dalí needs no introduction. He will always arouse interest, speculation, discussion and most of all, pleasure. This exhibition “Salvador Dalí in Shanghai” commemorates the 20th anniversary of Dalí’s death and displays all his glory. This is the only collection of its kind in the world, featuring the most important and largest grouping of bronze sculptures, such as the ‘Space Elephant’ and the ‘Victory Elephant’ which is collected by the hotel, of over 350 artworks that will delight and surprise.
