In opening a branch in Hanoi Downtown, Avis will be the first international car rental company to venture into the Vietnamese market. “Vietnam was one of the few countries that Avis did not yet have a branch in – something we had to change. The great demand among our clients – in both the tourism and business segments – showed us that there is a need for an internationally operating car rental here,” said Eric Brun, General Manager, Avis Asia.
Avis Vietnam offers all the services of a global car rental company. Bookings can be made as usual at www.avis.de or via telephone at 01805 – 55 77 55. The modern fleet is made up of a wide range of renowned brand models – from compact cars to minivans. Avis further provides professionally trained English-speaking drivers on request.
“Our chauffeurs are perfectly familiar with the Vietnamese traffic system. As such, our clients can sit back, enjoy the ride or use the time to work,” said Brun.
Avis is planning to open an additional branch in Ho Chi Minh City by the end of this year, with another one in Danang scheduled for 2010. “Avis already has a strong stand in Asia,” said Brun. “We are confident that our market entry in Vietnam will be successful, as well. This country has enormous potential, and we will utilize it. We are anticipating demand to pick up in a manner that will allow us to increase our fleet to 300 rental cars by end of 2011. We are already in talks with major hotel chains and various airlines in order to provide our clients with a network for seamless bookings and convenient travel in Vietnam.”
