Millennium Hilton Bangkok was accorded three highly coveted awards – ‘HAPA Thailand Best Business Hotel’, ‘HAPA Thailand Service Excellence’ and the ‘HAPA Thailand General Manager of the Year’ at the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) 2008 – 2010. The annual HAPA awards are dedicated to recognising people and establishments who have shown drive, dedication and passion for the hospitality industry. The award categories are diverse with personality awards dedicated for service excellence and leadership as well as industry awards that recognise the best experiences to be had in travel, golf, spa, food and entertainment.

HAPA Best Business Hotel
The judging criteria for the HAPA Best Business Hotel of the Year was based on the quality of the reservation experience, maintenance of the décor and ambience, greetings by front desk staff, room comfort, housekeeping standards and security and safety operations.

 

HAPA Service Excellence
While the HAPA Service Excellence measured the professionalism of team members, check-in and check-out efficiency as well as the attentiveness and warmness of service. One important criteria for this award is ‘going the extra mile’ for which Millennium Hilton Bangkok achieved high ratings.

The judging criteria for this award were industry experience, leadership, communication and influence skills as well as how challenges are met and the candidate’s vision for his property.
Having worked in numerous properties across Asia Pacific, Mr. Thomas Hoeborn has vast experience in all the major hospitality disciplines with a particularly strong background in Food and Beverage.
A German national, Mr. Hoeborn, was also acknowledged for his competency in communicating with the hotel guests and for being a great motivator for his team members during challenging times.
