Norwegian has signed an agreement to acquire two new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Both aircraft will be delivered in the first quarter of 2016. The 787-9 is larger than the 787-8 that Norwegian currently operates on its long-haul routes.
Norwegian continues to expand its international operations by signing an agreement with MG Aviation to lease two new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

AIRASIA X SEALS ITS LARGEST SINGLE ORDER WITH AIRBU
AirAsia X, the long haul, low fare airline affiliate of the AirAsia Group has placed the largest single order for 25 more A330-300s with Airbus. This is the world’s largest single “airline” firm order in a single purchase agreement valued at US$6 billion by an airline for the A330-300 type fleet. This increases AirAsia X’s order to 51 from Airbus supplemented by an order of 6 A330-300s leased from the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), bringing AirAsia X’s total confirmed fleet deliveries to 57 by 2019.

With four additional CFM56 engines financing relationship grows to over $130million
The airline airberlin and Sanad Aero Solutions GMBH (Sanad) extended their cooperation. The new contract includes adding four new CFM56-7B engines under a sale and lease back agreement and takes out three older CFM56-7B. This expands the current engine portfolio with Sanad to include fifteen spare engines, increasing airberlin’s operational efficiencies and expanding Sanad’s lease pool arrangement, utilizing spare capacity across Mubadala’s MRO Network customer base.
