This morning our friend and colleague Werner Kreis passed away.In recent years, he has traveled worldwide as a travel journalist and had an international network.His friendly humorous way of life, always curious about foreign people and cultures, a gourmet and friend of social parties and a universally respected colleague has passed away!

After breaking his leg two years ago, doctors noticed his cancer. Therapy didn’t help either. Werner covered up his sufferings everywhere and fought his illness alone without burdening his friends. After the death of his mother four years ago, he was alone in this world and lived with a girlfriend in Lübeck and then in Berlin.
In his last days, he fought cancer in the hospital, but it was already stronger. Today, March 14, 2025, he lost the fight and was released from his pain at around 6:30 a.m.
We will always remember Werner fondly
