Viking Cruises’ luxurious ship, “Viking Venus”, will soon make its debut in Australian waters during the highly anticipated Grand Australia Circumnavigation. Beginning its journey in Bali, the ship will arrive in Darwin on 11 December 2024, marking the start of an exciting season in the Australia and New Zealand region. The vessel will first complete the 17-day Komodo & The Australian Coast voyage before docking in Sydney on 23 December 2024, followed by a New Zealand-bound itinerary on 31 December.

Launched in 2021 as the seventh ship in Viking’s ocean fleet, Viking Venus accommodates 930 guests across 465 staterooms, offering a sophisticated, intimate cruise experience. In early 2025, the ship will embark on its inaugural 32-day Grand Australia Circumnavigation, a roundtrip from Sydney beginning 20 January 2025. This voyage will offer guests a unique blend of cultural exploration and natural wonders, including highlights such as the Great Barrier Reef, the rugged beauty of Tasmania, and the diverse cities of Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne.

Along with stops in Indonesia’s Komodo and Bali, passengers will have the opportunity to visit six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Blue Mountains and Borobudur. For adventure seekers, encounters with Komodo dragons and snorkeling at Indonesia’s Pink Beach are also on the agenda. The voyage also introduces guests to the new Australian ports of Geraldton, Busselton, and Albany, making this cruise a once-in-a-lifetime exploration.
