Outrigger has its own internal sustainability program, called OZONE — Outrgger’s Zone. General Manager Leah Matters and her staff have introduced multiple initiatives to reduce and recycle to lessen the resort’s environmental footprint and show respect for nature. If guests require a big footprint, they can visit the nearby Samui Elephant Haven that Outrigger endorses. Visitors can spend time with 20 rescued elephants in the only fully ethical elephant sanctuary in Koh Samui.
