“Light Up Las Vegas” Car Parade to Involve 300 Cars
Driving Length of Las Vegas Strip Beginning at Town Square, Concluding at
Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street
For the first time, this Wednesday, hundreds of tourism and hospitality workers will drive in unison along the length of Las Vegas Boulevard, beginning at Town Square Las Vegas and concluding at Fremont Street.
The goal? To show the world Las Vegas’ tourism industry will recover.

Condor has brought almost 67,000 guests back to Germany in the past two weeks. As part of the Federal Foreign Office Airlift and in cooperation with tour operators, Germany’s most popular holiday airline is thus supporting the largest return fligh it operation German history. The return flight schedule of #homewithcondor continues to include classic tourist destinations such as Cuba and the Canary Islands, but also destinations that Condor does not actually fly to, such as Bali, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, Honduras, Nicaragua, Thailand – and even Australia.

The German restaurant chains Vapiano and Maredo have filed for bankruptcy. Both hope for state help and want to try to get out of the bankruptcy proceedings again.
In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, the district office granted a special permit for a luxury hotel in the city: all other hotels in Germany are closed to tourist traffic. But this hotel has the Thai king as a guest. The king booked the entire hotel because he lives there with his entire entourage.

ILA Berlin 2020 will not be taking place. This was agreed upon by the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI), the organisers of the ILA, and Messe Berlin GmbH following an extraordinary meeting today of the supervisory board of Messe Berlin GmbH. The ILA had been scheduled to take place from 13 to 17 May 2020 at Berlin ExpoCenter Airport.Due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, on 12 March 2020 the head administrator of the district of Dahme-Spreewald –the authority responsible for enacting protective measures to prevent the spread of contagious diseases –issued a general order and instructed its immediate implementation.

Flt. Lt. Pratana Patanasiri, Vice President, Aviation Safety, Security & Standards, Thai Airways International Public Company (THAI), said that due to the announcement of Italy’s Government on national lockdown following the rapid rising death toll and confirmed cases of COVID-19. The Thai Government, concerned of Thais in those areas, had assigned THAI to transport Thai students, AFS exchange students, and stranded tourists through flight TG945 Rome-Bangkok on 14 March 2020 which was the last THAI flight from Italy.

Reed Exhibitions Africa has confirmed that Africa Travel Week, which comprises of World Travel Market Africa and International Luxury Travel Market Africa, due to take place in April this year, will now be postponed following the escalation of COVID-19 Coronavirus around the world. The event will now take place again in 2021.
