Extreme Adventures Canada returns to Chengdu International Tourism Expo (CITE) 2017 after a resounding success of the 2016 edition. It was proclaimed* that CITE was a natural fit for Extreme Adventures Canada, a tour agency that caters to the growing number of visitors from China to the Northwest Territories (NWT).Extreme Adventures Canada, located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, home of the most spectacular Aurora Viewing on the planet, aims to provide visitors opportunities to participate in wonderful winter activities where they will experience firsthand the rugged beauty of Canada’s frontier. They offer tours in English and Mandarin, including aurora viewing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing.
Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI), Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT), Canada, affirmed* that CITE provided Extreme Adventures Canada with insight to tailor their products and packages to better meet market demands. It also helped them to make an important connection with Ying Tu Holiday, a Travel Agency based in China. More on the Horizon
What’s next for Extreme Adventures Canada? The company will be featured in a documentary, organized by Ying Tu Holiday and featured on CCTV, China’s central television network. Michael Ewen, owner/operator of Extreme Adventures Canada will be in China to participate in a press conference prior to the airing of the documentary on Chinese New Year (February 16, 2018). He says the journey has been an exciting one.

“Success comes with the support of a strong team, and though SEED funding, Extreme Adventures Canada was able to complete valuable market research in China that lead to the formation of a partnership with Ying Tu Holiday in Beijing. Our two companies have formed the foundations for a cooperative agreement that will mutually benefit the initiatives of both parties. In laying the foundations of success, Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) has proven to be a valuable partner in supporting the growth and development of a vibrant tourist industry in the NWT that is gaining attention internationally,” Michael says.
