Dubai proudly presents its review of successful 2016: Until the end of November over 408.000 German tourists visited the emirate and already in October the 100.000-room-mark in 676 hotels was hit. Furthermore over the last year plenty of impressive attractions, for example Dubai Opera, nine kilometers long Dubai Water Canal and adventure parks like IMG Worlds of Adventure or theme park complex Dubai Parks and Resorts have opened. Additionally numerous new hotels like W Dubai Al Habtoor City, Rove Downtown or Palazzo Versace Dubai were built.
“We are looking back on a diversified and exciting 2016. In 2017 we are going to pave the way to following attention-getting openings of hotels and attractions in order to present Dubai as a top-destination for guest from all over the world”, says Isaam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism .Beginning in March there is a special highlight for German Dubai fans on TV: the transmission of “German Idol” recall in Dubai. “Together with additional attention-getting campaigns and partnerships like this one, we go on developing Dubai’s recognition as an optimal trip destination for our younger target group”, Kazim adds.
Besides Germany Dubai Tourism is going to expand on its presence in Austria and Swiss and address its core target groups families, couples and millennials by innovative campaigns. Regarding this the cooperation with tour operators, travel agencies and airlines is an important part. For the first time German travel trade partner become part of the Dubai Tourism lead campaigns and together they will arouse lots of attention. All of the cooperation on TV, radio and Out of Home for the first six months of the year have already been planned and party implemented. For example this can be seen in the Germany-wide customer event with trade- and tourism concern REWE Group and in co-operation with Emirates and DER Touristik. In the course of the scratch card event in over 3.000 REWE-supermarkets customers can, among other things, win a trip to Dubai until middle of February. But also in the online sector Dubai is going to be strongly represented together with partners like TripAdvisor or Expedia as well as with bloggers and influencers in order to draw the target groups’ attention to the destination.

At the moment the large-scaled Dubai Tourism campaign “Winter neu erleben” is broadcasted and can be seen on Germany’s Radio- and TV-landscape as well as the respective Social Media channels. As in form of a special weather report with RTL weather host Maxi Biewer or in the course of a self-made image film: this campaign attracts people who are interested in traveling and dream destinations at the Arabian Golf.

To guarantee their guests the best possible residence there are numerous new hotels to open in 2017 such as Bulgari Resort & Residences, Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai and The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences, which is located at Palm Jumeirah. Moreover Dubai Safari Park, the spectacular water-theater La Perle in Al Habtoor City, observation deck Dubai Frame with 150 meters height and the big wheel Ain Dubai are going to open. The latter is going to be 260 meters high and so named the highest big wheel in the world. Consequently Dubai is going to add more world records in 2017, too. This happens in line with Sheik Mohammed’s guiding theme. He emphasizes that the word “impossible” can’t be found in the emirate’s vocabulary.

Not only on the architectural but also on the cultural level Dubai offers its guests a various mix of art, history and cuisine. Starting at February 23rd to March 11th Dubai Food Festival is going to take place, which attracts people from all over the world who are interested in gastronomy and food.
Furthermore many attractive travel offers, for example during easter or summer holidlays, are going to happen throughout the year.
