10th Travel Turkey İzmir Tourism Fair and Congress targeted to result in contracts to increase tourism revenues of our country is arranging to open its doors with the Partner Province Mersin and its International Destination Partner Aqaba.Travel Turkey Tourism Fair and Congress to be held though partnership with İZFAŞ and TÜRSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) Fair Business Services Trade Inc. and be hosted by Metropolitan Municipality of İzmir will meet tourism professionals for the 10th time. The fair to which Aqaba, the gate of Jordan to Red Sea is International Partner Destination and Mersin is Partner Province will be held in Fuar İzmir between 8 – 10 December 2016.
Participations from 23 countries in Travel Turkey İzmir to which foreign participants show great interest have been finalized. Afghanistan, Germany, Bulgaria, Algeria, South Korea, Georgia, India, Iran, TRNC, Kenya, Kosovo, Macedonia, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Tunis, Jordan, Greece and Zimbabwe will take part in the fair to last for 4 days.

Special Concept to Health Tourism
This year, the special section of “Medical Tourism” will be created by support of Health Ministry of Republic of Turkey and İzmir Provincial Directorate of Health in the framework of the fair. It is targeted through this special section to develop health tourism and to present health facilities of our country to domestic and foreign markets. Representatives of health tourism will meet with buyers intended to health tourism coming from UAE, Algeria, Morocco, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Turkic Republics. Representatives of the industry who will establish new business contacts by trysting before the fair will execute also new contracts increasing tourism revenues of our country.
Public hospitals, private, foundation and university hospitals, travel agencies of health tourism, ophthalmic hospitals, dental health and beauty centers, hair transplantation clinics and centers, in vitro fertilization hospitals and centers, thermal hotels and facilities, insurance companies, assistance companies, firms operating in the field of weight loss and diet clinics will open booths in the special section of health tourism.

This year, buyers from worldwide, important tour operators and travel agencies will be hosted at the fair to make cooperation with participant companies in the scope of ‘B2B Hosted Buyer Program’ through the support of THY (Turkish Airlines) as every year.
The release of “Early Booking Campaign” for the year will be realized in 10th Travel Turkey İzmir held under the patronage of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Republic of Turkey. The Early Booking Campaign performed to raise domestic tourism and to allow domestic tourist to take vacation with advantageous prices have been providing value added to tourism sector since 2009.
New business contracts will be concluded in consequence of bilateral deliberations realized under “B2B Hosted Buyer Program” within the fair which will boost tourism sector having hard times because of economic and political developments in the world. Recent consumer demands beside the business negotiations to be held along with the early booking campaign are expected to boost the sector.
While municipalities and development agencies will take place in the Hall A, agencies, hotels and operators will take place in the Hall B in 10th Travel Turkey İzmir Fair to be held in Fuar İzmir. While the fair will be open to visitors for 4 days, end users will be able to visit Hall A during the fair and Hall B in 10-11 December 2016.

Aqaba will be promoted for the first time
The precious city of Jordan, Aqaba, which will participate as International Partner Destination of 10th Travel Turkey will promote its tourism products and natural beauties. Aqaba known as a diving paradise is one of the areas having Bedouin culture under UNESCO guardianship. The city hosting Wadi Rum (Moon Valley) being one of the haunts of adventurers, have also the Ancient City of Petra being one of the Seven Wonders of the Worlds. There are numerous stone houses and sculptures pertaining to Bedouins in Petra of which the history goes back to 2 thousands years ago and which served as Capital City to Nabataeans. Aqaba which will take first opportunity to present itself in Travel Turkey will focus on international tourism industry.
FAMOUS CHEFS ARE IN THE CONGRESS OF GASTRONOMIC TOURISM
2nd International Gastronomic Tourism Congress hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality is held between 8 – 10 December, 2016 simultaneously with Travel Turkey İzmir 2016 Fair, with cooperation of İZFAŞ, İzmir Convention and Visitors Bureau (İzmir CVB) and Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) and with support of Reseau Délice International Association of Food Cities. The congress to be held in Far İzmir will gather world’s prominent gastronomic and tourism experts and educators.
This year, panels where private sector presentations will take place in the congress simultaneously with academic studies. The relationship between the Aegean culture and gastronomy and the effect of this culture in the tourism of the region will be discussed in the panels in which important representative of the sector and national and international discoursers will participate. Domestic and foreign chefs will perform special shows and presentations during workshops.
