GREAT PACE FOR GROUPS AND CONVENTIONS IN PUERTO RICO
Meet Puerto Rico began the new fiscal year (FY) 2015-16 on strong footing with more than 20 groups holding their meetings in Puerto Rico in August and September 2015. This represents a direct impact of $7 million to the local economy.

The ASEAN MICE Forum (AMF) @ IT&CMA will debut on 29 September in Bangkok, in conjunction with The Leading International MICE Event Centered In Asia-Pacific. The only one of its kind in the world, AMF was made possible with the endorsement of the ASEAN Tourism Marketing and Communication Working Group.

Organised for the second time this year, “ACE of M.I.C.E. Exhibition” is the leading regional event for the meetings, incentives, conferences, events and business travel industry. The event gathered 11,687 industry professionals with over 269 exhibiting companies from 25 countries and 656 high-level hosted buyers from associations, agencies and corporate companies. ACE of M.I.C.E. Exhibition 2015 held also colorful panels and various conferences for 3 days which hosted 70 expert speakers.

Taking strategic leadership for the three brands across the continent, Walia will be responsible for managing the day-to-day business of fourteen European properties.

On August 22 – 24, 2016 the inaugural edition of Future of Events 2016 will take place at Amsterdam RAI (The Netherlands). The theme of this brand new Conference and Tradeshow for Event professionals is ‘Innovating events, developing professionals’. The show management has succeeded in delivering a line up of well-known speakers within the Event industry, such as David Adler (BizBash), Robert Safian (Fast Company) and Corbin Ball (Corbin Ball Associates).

Over 200 students, alumni, lecturers and industry professionals from India and overseas participated at the PATA Youth Symposium 2015, held at Christ University, Bangalore, India.The programme, under the theme ‘Human Resources Challenges and Opportunities for Tourism’s Next Generation’, was developed with guidance from Dr Chris Bottrill, Chairman of the PATA Human Capital Development Committee and Dean, Faculty of Global and Community Studies at Capilano University, Canada.
