The Thailand Convention Bureau TCEB with a statement about the attack yesterday evening in Bangkok. Right now 22 people died and more than 130 are injured.In the meantime – this morning – a second attack at the River with no peoples injured or killed, the bomb exploded in the water near a Touristboat.The Royal Police and a lot of private people are now searching for a man who is seen on a video and looks like he is the suspect. Is the man in the yellow shirt the suspect?
Current Situation
On 17 August 2015 at approximately 19.00 hours, an improvised explosive device (IED) went off at the Rachaprasong intersection in central Bangkok, resulting in a number of fatalities and injuries including foreign nationals.
TCEB, and the Royal Thai Government, expresses its deep condolences to the victims and families of this tragedy.
Security officials immediately secured the Rachaprasong area to conduct investigation and ensure public safety and security. Other parts of Bangkok were not impacted.
Emergency services and first aid responders were on the scene and those injured have been given full medical attention. The injured are being treated in nearby hospitals, including Police, Chulalongkorn, Rachavidhi and Ramadibodhi Hospitals. The Erawan Emergency Service Centre will provide regular updates about the conditions of those hospitalized.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed deep concern for the victims and instructed security officials to investigate with a view to maintaining public safety and security. It is too early to determine the possible motives or who the perpetrators may be.
The public are advised to remain calm and monitor the situation regularly as security agencies conduct their operations.
Operation of the MICE Industry
International stakeholders are advised that Thailand’s MICE industry continues to operate as normal, and all public and private sector stakeholders are working together to monitor the situation. All hotels, venues and attractions are open and ready to welcome travellers. Transportation links, major roads and airports continue to operate, including Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain and MRT services and both Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi International Airports.

According to WTTC reports Travel & Tourism generated over THB2,345 billion ($US 72.2 billion) or 19.3% of the country’s GDP in 2014. The sector supported over 5 million jobs, representing 14% of total employment.
Thailand’s annual visitor exports, which is money spent by foreign travellers in the country, have more than doubled in the last decade, increasing from THB629 billion (US$19.4 billion) in 2005 to THB1,309 billion (US$40.3 billion) in 2014.

They are all very sure that he has brought the bombs in a backpack to the Erawan Shrine. The Police is also searching for the motorbycicle Taxi which has the suspect used to come to the Shrine.
The suspect has put the backpack on the shrine , was talking on a mobile phone and was leaving the area very fast.
