International Fair a Treasure Trove of Trendy Travel Themes & FIT Products for Affluent Travelers. The annual ITE & MICE, Hong Kong’s only travel fair, boosts a highly international profile of exhibitors. Like last year, around 650 exhibitors are expected, with 85% from abroad and they from about 45 countries and regions nearly half of which from West Asia and outside Asia.
The two largest official pavilions of ITE & MICE again come from China and Japan, each of which is expected to featuring around 60 booths, and even bigger presence if independent exhibitors are included. Among the exhibitors are around 80 tourism boards at national, provincial and municipal levels.

Past exhibitors, say, official pavilions from Mexico, Sabah, Thailand and Zagreb of Croatia confirmed significant expansions the largest of which doubling the scale, and newly exhibiting destinations with independent exhibitors include Ireland, Lithuania, Maldives and Sri Lanka etc.

Complementing exhibitors’ activities, the organizer join force with related trade associations, professional bodies and popular travel writers holding trade and public seminars and special displays etc to promote theme / in-depth / FIT travels. Up market themes highlighted in the travel fair include MICE, Overseas Wedding, Cruise, Sport Tourism and Wellness etc.

In its two trade days are around 20 seminars, Business Matching, Presentation of Industry Award, and Receptions etc; and in the public days some 80 travel seminars, cultural performances, free 3-D photo sessions, and lucky draws etc.

The result is making visit to ITE & MICE much more rewarding, particularly for the affluent travelers and the travel trade serving them!

It is expected to draw some 12,000 buyers and trade visitors from travel and MICE industries with over a quarter from mainland China and abroad, and over 75,000 public visitors with 83% prefer traveling in FIT or private groups. Travel trade are invited to pre-register online. Trade and public tickets can be purchased at entrances.

Organized by TKS Exhibition Services ltd, ITE & MICE 2015, which co-locates the 29th ITE (leisure) and the 10th ITE MICE, will be held from June 11 to 14 at halls 1A to 1E of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre

A) Hong Kong Outbound Market Promising
Outbound business this year of the city’s travel agents grew 44% during Chinese New Year, and some 10% during Easter! Though price rose by some 38%, tours to Europe in Easter were highly popular with Hong Kong travelers! These increases were on top of significant growth to major destinations last year (see table). Despite recent turmoil, Hong Kong outbound remains promising!
