ProPak Asia, Asia’s number one international processing and packaging event for the food, drink and pharmaceutical industries, is gearing up for its 23rd successful year in Thailand, as it prepares to host tens of thousands of buyers from all over the world at ProPak Asia 2015, from 17-20 June.
Organised by Bangkok Exhibition Services (BES), ProPak Asia is the industry’s premiere event for international manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, technology and materials in the sectors of packaging, filling, processing, quality assurance, test and measurement and related fields including automation, transportation, storage, refrigeration, ingredients, labelling and pollution control.
At ProPak Asia, visitors can meet over 1,800 leading companies from 45 countries and discover new machines, technology and services, gain market knowledge and insights, network with industry professionals and businesses, as well as learn from industry conferences and seminars.
ProPak Asia occupies all six halls of BITEC and continues to grow through strong market conditions and high demand from exhibitors. In 2014, ProPak Asia attracted 36,310 buyers from over 60 countries, and 280 buyer groups from over 16 countries.
Mr Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, president of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization), or TCEB, commented, “ProPak Asia is a prime example of how Thailand’s business events industry is poised to thrive with the full implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by the end of 2015. As the Thai government’s official flagship body for the business events sector, TCEB is proud to foster the ongoing success of strong, leading national industry events such as ProPak Asia.”

In the AEC era, companies from around the world are expanding to the region, which covers 10 member countries with a combined population of over 700 million and GDP of over US$3 trillion. ProPak Asia is proving to be their preferred trade event and partner to meet Asia’s key industry decision-makers.
Justin Pau, General Manager, Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd. added, “As the industry’s premiere event, ProPak Asia is the ideal platform for buyers and sellers to connect with one another, and Thailand is the perfect host for a venue of this scale. Every year, our exhibitors and buyers particularly appreciate the superb facilities – whether inside or outside the conference hall – first-rate connectivity, and unmatched service.”
These are exactly the hallmarks TCEB is highlighting in its recently launched Thailand CONNECT The World campaign, which showcases Thailand’s unrivalled destinations, business prospects, and people. Under ‘Destinations’, Thailand’s five top tier business events cities are emphasized, offering limitless options both inside and outside the event venue. ‘Business’ highlights how, as a world leader in industries such as food and agriculture, energy, automotive and machinery, healthcare and more, Thailand continues to harness regional integration to offer global prospects and opportunities to businesses seeking a springboard for success in the AEC. Lastly, ‘People’ emphasises Thailand’s proficient professionals who serve with effortless simplicity, gracious smiles and signature Thai service, as well as the benchmark-setting industry standards covering everything from meeting spaces to security.
As a leading business events destination in Asia, Thailand will play host to a diverse line-up of confirmed major events in 2015, which include One Young World Summit 2015 Bangkok, FDI 2015 Annual World Dental Congress, TBEX Asia 2015, HerbaLife Asia-Pacific Extravaganza 2015, INTERMACH 2015, Metalex 2015, ProPak Asia 2015 and Food & Hotel Thailand 2015, among others.
