Hong Kong outbound in 2014 to major destinations continued rising in 2014, (See table below) and outlook remains positive! Hong Kong travel agents’ outbound business during last Lunar New Year Holiday grew 44%, while that during Easter projected to grow 10%! For example, highly popular among Hong Kong travelers are tours to Europe during Easter despite prices, on average, rose 38%!
In 2013, Hong Kong spent US$21 billion on international tourism, and ranked world’s 15th largest source market. With its own China passport, Hong Kong citizens can visit visa free over 140 countries and regions, and English remains an official language.

ITE & MICE last drew 2588 buyers and trade visitors MICE & Corporate Travel and 6522 from travel agents; and in all a total of 12000 buyers and trade visitors in the two trade days, with 74% from Hong Kong and 19% from China particularly Guangdong; 75000 visitors in two public days with 83% prefer FIT / private tour group!
