Happy winners at the award ceremony The Golden City Gate 2015 at ITB Cinema
The touristic movie award The Golden City Gate was presented for the 14th time at the world’s largest travel trade show, ITB Berlin. In this year´s edition, destinations and travel companies could submit their campaigns in 15 different categories which were rated by the demanding jury coming from several fields of activities like economics, arts, culture or public relations.
Amongst the first prize winners were destinations such as British Columbia, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Switzerland, who received their awards live on stage at the ITB Cinema in Hall 2.1.
The highlights of this year’s ceremony were the image campaign of the destination Bangladesh, which was voted for best movie of the 2015s competition and therefore being awarded with the Diamond Award. The trophy was handed over by the representative of the destination Dubai – the last year’s winner of the prize.
Another Diamond Award was handed over to the international car rental company Sixt which already won the first prize in the category “Economy” six times in a row. The trophy was given to Regine Sixt and her team.
