North American foreign travel increases again – after the boom years South American growth declines
The economic situation in the United States and Canada is improving and with it has come a renewed increase in foreign trips in 2014. At the same time the weaker-performing economies of Brazil and Argentina have led to slower growth in tourism in South America. These are the findings of the ITB World Travel Trends Report, conducted by IPK International and commissioned by ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show.

Brand «Heritage of Tatarstan» will open a 1000-year history of the one of the biggest regions of Russia to the world.
The first territorial brand based on a historical-cultural heritage was presented in Russia. This was the brand «Heritage of Tatarstan»,opening a “cultural code” of the territory to the international community. Tatarstan is one of the biggest regions of Russia, an economic donor that has a unique cultural heritage with more than 1000-year history protected by UNESCO. At the expense of the new brand Tatarstan means to increase a touristic flow and attract additional investments.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced the launch of the new global marketing and promotion campaign “2015 Discover Thainess” at the 13th International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), held at the Palais de Festivals et des Congres in Cannes, France. Mr. Thawatchai Arunyik, Governor of TAT, led a delegation of 19 Thai tourism companies, including 15 accommodation companies (hotels and resorts) and 4 tour operators, to meet with influential decision-making buyers whom are said to be of high credentials and could not be found at any other travel trade shows in Europe.

Trade and public visitors of ITE & MICE Hong Kong interest in travel themes closely associated with island paradises: Overseas Wedding with respectively 14% public & 24% trade interested, Sport Tourism 30% and 22%, and Cruise 34% and 29%. Exhibiting in ITE & MICE are, for examples, official pavilions from island paradises of Guam, Okinawa, Seychelles & Palau; from destinations famous for “sun & sea” of Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Thailand; and the Constance Hotels from Mauritius. In all, ITE & MICE has some 650 exhibitors (85% overseas) from around 50 countries.
