Trade and public visitors of ITE & MICE Hong Kong interest in travel themes closely associated with island paradises: Overseas Wedding with respectively 14% public & 24% trade interested, Sport Tourism 30% and 22%, and Cruise 34% and 29%. Exhibiting in ITE & MICE are, for examples, official pavilions from island paradises of Guam, Okinawa, Seychelles & Palau; from destinations famous for “sun & sea” of Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Thailand; and the Constance Hotels from Mauritius. In all, ITE & MICE has some 650 exhibitors (85% overseas) from around 50 countries.
ITE & MICE covers Hong Kong and China, which respectively are world’s 15th and 1st source markets by international tourism expenditure and they spent US$21 billion (Hong Kong population 7.2 million) and US$129 billion (China population 1366 million) in 2013.
In ITE & MICE, trade and public visitors are segregated. The two trade days, which require registration, draw 12300 buyers and visitors (74% from Hong Kong & 19% from southern China etc; 6522 from travel agents & 2588 from MICE/Corporate Visitors); and the two public days 75300 visitors (83% prefer FIT/private group; 59% made 2 to 4 overnight holidays & 16% five times or more in past year ).

Thus, exhibitors can conduct trade promotions, networking and channel sales in trade days which feature trade seminars and Business Matching for buyers meeting sellers etc; and public promotions and retail sales in public days.
