China overtrumped everything: The Middle Kingdom is world champion in traveling, even in traveling abroad. The number of Chinese tourists traveling to other countries has doubled in the past five years. But also within the country the tourism is booming. The turnover of the hotel industry has increased respectively by over nine percent in recent years and is now according to current surveys at 47.4 billion US dollars. Business travel within China had an enormous increase. The volume of business trips increased by 14.3 percent to about 224 million US dollars. A majority of all domestic travel (60%) is online booked by Chinese. Thus, the potential for business hotels is growing.
