The German band Pharao, fronted by the Egyptian-Indian singer Kyra Pharao, performed last weekend together with South African born singer/songwriter Prince Damien at the Club Onniteekki at the Hotel Sorsanpesä in Seinäjoki, Western Finland.
In the 90ties, Pharao was one of Germany’s most successful dance acts. In that time, Kyra Pharao performed together with American rapper Deon Blue. Many of their songs became Top-10 hits in the charts of Germany and many other European countries.
The most famous are “I Show You Secrets”, “There Is A Star”, “World Of Magic” and “Temple Of Love”. Some of these songs received the Gold Award to mark phenomenal sales.
Prince Damien is a successful pop singer from Munich, Germany. In 2014 he showed up his excellence in many occasions such as the Cologne Pride Festival, the IsarInselFest (Munich), the Chiemsee Reggae Festival, the Essen City Festival ESSEN.ORIGINAL and many others. In March 2014, his video clip “Easy Breezy” has been awarded with the Master Award for Tolerance and Diversity during the ITB International Tourism Multimedia & Film Festival “The Golden City Gate” in Berlin. End of August 2014 he released his new single “Beep Me” during a rare unplugged acoustic live act at the renowned “Mayersche” bookstore in Cologne.
The event in Seinäjoki was the first common project of these two excellent artists. By organizing this event, Club Onniteekki showed up very high professional competence. It demonstrates as well the high standard of cultural life in Finland even outside of Helsinki.
Each July, the small town of Seinäjoki turns out to be a touristic hot spot in Western Finland, during the Seinäjoen Tangomarkkinat, the famous Finnish Tango Festival.
