The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) today announced its full support for the 16th Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music, which will be held from 13 September to 26 October, 2014, at the Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok.
To celebrate the now much-anticipated event’s 16th anniversary, the organiser, International Cultural Promotions Limited, has put together a programme of 16 performances from 14 countries – Italy, China, France, the UK, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Switzerland, Denmark, India, Columbia, Israel, Portugal and Germany.

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) Announced the Winner and Lucky Voter for Itinerary Contest Campaign
From May to July 2014, MICE organizers, MICE travelers, and the general public from around the world were invited to join the Itinerary Contest, challenging contestants to create a pre- and/or post-trip itinerary in Thailand to introduce attractions and various interesting activities while attending business events in Thailand. Based on the viability and desirability of the entries, five final itineraries were chosen to compete in the final voting round.

In another positive move to boost the Thai travel and tourism industry, the Immigration Bureau has allowed citizens of 48 countries and Hong Kong SAR to get a 30-day extension of their stay in Thailand after the expiry of their normal period of stay.The move is effective as of 29 August, 2014. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced the appointment of Rodolfo “Rudy” Quevedo as Director of Safety. On 2 September 2014 Quevedo will join IATA’s Safety and Flight Operations team and will be based in Montreal. He will be responsible for Cabin Safety, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Global Aviation Data Management (GADM).
