The 4-star Arcadia Hotel Schloss Goldschmieding Castrop-Rauxel passed to VI Hotels & Resorts on 1 March 2014. This is now the seventh Arcadia Hotel being managed by the Austrian hotel group.The 4-star Arcadia Hotel Schloss Goldschmieding in Castrop-Rauxel was sold to VI Hotels & Resorts with effect from 1 March 2014. Dr. Andreas Karsten, CEO of VI Hotels, comments on the most recent addition: “This acquisition once again confirms the accurateness of our asset-strategy and the trust in our management know-how.
We are convinced of the economic potential of the hotel and will use our international sales structures to address additional guest groups.”

The hotel’s location in Castrop-Rauxel, a city of 75,000 inhabitants situated between Bochum, Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen and Essen, guarantees good access to infrastructure as well as a service region with enormous potential. The 4-star hotel offers 84 rooms and suites, a conference and event area for up to 120 people, two restaurants and a wellness area. The historical castle with its restaurant is best suited for events such as weddings and had been chosen frequently in the past by renowned soccer-teams like the German national team or FC Bayern Munich.

This seventh transferring of a hotel property and of the management responsibilities to VI Hotels & Resorts is a testament of our good and professional working relationship.”

The hotel was transferred with no interruption to service. Both parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. Since last year, VI Hotels & Resorts has assumed the management of seven Arcadia Group hotels in Coburg, Amberg, Wuppertal, Limburg, Günzburg, Neckarsulm and Castrop-Rauxel.
