topbonus: Celebrating their 10th anniversary, topbonus, airberlin’s frequent flyer program, has recorded a total of 3.4 million members in more than 200 countries. Over the past three years the number of members has risen by around 40%. Frequent flyers in 30 countries within the global airberlin route network have already achieved Platinum status – the highest status after Silver and Gold.
“Our anniversary year has been very successful. topbonus is recording steady growth and enjoying increased popularity, not only in its German-speaking core market, but also on an international level. Following in the steps of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, it is Spain, Russia and the USA that are the best-performing markets for topbonus. In 2013, the number of topbonus members in the USA increased by around 30%. The number of members in Scandinavia rose by around 21% last year, in Russia numbers rose by about 20%. Poland saw new registrations increase by about 44% over the same period.
Throughout the anniversary year, there will be numerous promotional activities on offer to make new members aware of the benefits of the topbonus Program and also to reward the more than 3.4 million members for their loyalty.
